      You couldnt remove the whole nervous system. Nerves control a lot of things from our heart beat, telling us to breath as well as controlling all movement. You can remove individual nerves or freeze them. This is something we sometimes do if someone is getting a lot of pain from a certain area. You can also temporarily numb then, we sometimes do this when people are having surgery so they dont have to be put to sleep but wont feel the pain
