Not really although its another really important and cool job to do! Scientists and engineers often work closely together to help each other solve problems and make new treatments

No, but I know lots of engineers and have worked closely with many. Bioengineering is really interesting, and has led to many advances/inventions that help in the health context.

No, but at lot of the work I do now overlaps with engineering a lot and I work very closely with engineers. In my research I model blood flow in arteries and predict the response to putting stents in them (tubes that keep them open). This is basically engineering!

No. By the time I heard of engineering, I was already doing my A-levels and hadn’t chosen physics, so I didn’t consider it. I might have been interested if I had known more about it when I was younger.

Not really. I have always found civil engineering really interesting though.

During my undergraduate i met some people who were doing PhDs in biomedical engineering (they were working on artificial blood vessels to replace damaged ones in people). This is a really interesting area where engineering and lab science overlap.

No, although I did attend a biomedical engineering day at the university as I found it interesting to see artificial body parts being designed and produced. An example of this is hip replacement surgery where the hip joint is replaced with an artificial one.
