i would change my 2 year old daughters life so that she didnt have type one diabetes. That disease is where the body cant turn the sugars from the food we eat into energy because they dont have working insulin. it means she needs a needle before she eats anything and has to check her blood over 6 times a day

I have a wonderful friend who would have made an amazing mother, but was not able to have children (medical reasons), even though she really wanted to. I would make it (I don’t know how), so that she could have a baby to love and care for.

I would change my brothers life so that he didn’t suffer from Ulcerative colitis. This is an illness where you the bowel becomes really inflamed and it causes a lot of stomach pain and upset. His was so severe he lost a lot fo blood and had to have his bowel removed. He now has a permanent stoma ( instead of poo coming out of his bottom it comes out through a hole in his stomach). He has been in and out of hospital for several years and has really struggled. He is very brave and still works really hard despite this (he is a maths teacher!). I would love for him to be able to do all the things he wants to do.

I would change my brother having epilepsy. This is a disease that causes the brain to become very active for a short burst and often causes the body the shake uncontrollably (something called a seizure). Luckily he hasn’t had any for a long time but it was scary for him and all of us when he was younger as they can happen at any time with no warning.

I would change my grandmothers life, who recently had a stroke. This is when the blood flow to part of your brain is cut off when a clot blocks a blood vessel. I would make it so that she could walk again and be more independent like she was before she had the stroke. She is such a courageous woman who has always been independent and supportive to everyone it would be great to see her back like that again.

My husband is a great dad and a great big brother to his brother and sisters. His mum died when he was only 10 and I would love to be able to take that experience away from him. However, it gets complicated when I think of his little half brother, who might not exist if things had been different… we’d have to arrange to keep some things as they are.
